Karl Rove and the Republican Establishment are terrified that we will win this race.
That's why the Washington consultant class has been telling conservatives that they must settle for a "me too" Big Government Republican. Not only is that not true, they're only spreading this lie because they know we're poised to win.
Truth be told, the Republican elites would rather see Democrat Mark Begich win this race than allow another "troublemaker" like Ted Cruz or Mike Lee to be seated in the United States Senate.
They have watched, in horror, as we closed the gap by picking up 17 points in the polls over the last several months and they know that in head-to-head polling, we are now holding the incumbent below 50%. With more than seven months, remaining before the November election, we are in a position to close the deal.
Karl Rove and the Republican Establishment DON'T want us to close the deal, and they'll throw in the kitchen sink, if necessary, to stop us.
